Stargate SG-1: The Warrior is a Jaffa centered storyline. Once again, Teal’c gets caught up in something that isn’t exactly what it seems. He tends to leap before he looks much of the time. Here, he practically turns his back on Jack and SG-1 because of his cause. It’s something he so often

does without even apologizing. It’s not that I have problems with his right to make choices, but as the Frank Simmons character once said, Teal’c flips flops a lot.

Basically, the episode is about a Jaffa warrior who claims to want to lead the Jaffa to their freedom. He’s had great success converting his brethren to ...

      • the cause, but of course, it’s not exactly how it sounds.

One of the best moments of Stargate SG-1: The Warrior is early on when Jack has Sam demonstrate the capabilities of the P-90 weapon. It’s sufficiently dramatic and boastful to cause a chuckle.

I also like the tent scene when Jack, Daniel, and Sam are discussing the

situation and Teal’c’s new buddies. It’s an informative but fun bit.

Stargate SG-1: The Warrior is just sort of bland for me. Jaffa storylines don’t excite me, especially when Teal’c is so gullible and turns his back on his friends … again.

It does have its moments, but not enough to turn the episode into a big winner.
