This season seven entry of Stargate SG-1 doesn’t really excite me that much. Avenger 2.0 brings back the geek from season six’s The Other Guys. As played by Patrick McKenna, Felger means well, but he’s essentially a fumbling geek with a big crush on Sam.

The negatives on this show begin with the lack of Daniel. Again, it’s

the way they filmed episodes. A lot of season 7 shows had the team divided, and that’s pretty much the future of the show from this point on. One or two cast members are off filming other episodes and make what amount to cameos. In this show, Daniel is in two scenes, essentially just shouting into ...

      • the camera as rain falls. He has no interaction really with anyone, except Hammond.

The two positives I associate with this show begin with a scene where Sam goes to Felger’s apartment, and he’s playing with a Stargate and miniature SG-1 characters that he’s made. Now that’s funny! The other is a line Felger says after one

of Daniel’s reports. He realizes that things aren’t going well and when Daniel says something about having to go to higher ground and trying to survive there, Felger’s reaction is that Jack was going to kill him. I just love that mental association there.

Stargate SG-1: Avenger 2.0 is an okay show, but it’s not really one I watch that often.
