Verbatim Blank CDs
  • Based from experience, a cd can only be used up to 3 years of safekeeping a file then it needs to be transferred or burned yet again to a new CD or DVD, just to be sure
  • Well if you are really someone who wants to make sure that all your files saved, may it be documents or movies, the best choice if you are to keep them in a CD is to buy a branded one, with its own casing because if you are just to file the cds with each other

Copying files to a CD or DVD Is not an assurance that you would be able to reap the benefits of the files stored after a long time. Based from experience, a cd can only be used up to 3 years of safekeeping a file then it

needs to be transferred or burned yet again to a new CD or DVD, just to be sure.

Well if you are really someone who wants to make sure that all your files saved, may it be documents or movies, the best choice if you are to keep them in a CD is to buy a branded one, with its own casing because if you are just to file the cds with each other; but doing this will only scratch the surface of your CD or DVD.

As a suggestion and as a product ...

critic, I can only say that I have tested a few CD products and my vote goes to verbatim.

Well, a blank cd of this brand is more expensive than the others but at least you are assured that your files are safe.

      Not only are that,

the blank CD writing process ensures that there no CD wasted.

Having said this, I meant that cheaper brands sell reject products and when you try to write on these cds, it will only return an error in cd writing process.

This has never really happened with a Verbatim CD.

Based on experience i have verbatim CD’s that are more than 10 years old and they are still perfect. They must be kept in a dry environment at a somewhat stable temperature (a room). The biggest problems with cd’s and dvd’s are condensation especially in the winter season. I rarely write cd’s anymore if ever but a while ago i considered verbatim one of the best on the market, nice memories.

It depends i guess, the problem is not how it’s stored it’s how its accessed after. If there is a stack of CD’s and i want one from that stack which is somewhere in the middle i will probably grab like 20-30 and start to search through them like browsing through a book until i find the right one, now this is when there is a possibility for the CD’s to get scratching marks and we add to the process years well you kind of have on your hand a cd that doesn’t really read anymore and so on. Me and i bet 99% of your average human did it this way. Also i don’t know why but i guess there are some people who still think that scratches on the CD’s matter, they don’t that much, at least not on the transparent side. The side that hold the information is the printed one and as long as that is not damaged in any way there is a 100% possibility to recover any and every data. Never failed to do so. As a conclusion i would suggest if there is enough place to stack your CD’s one by one in a plastic casing.
