      Ingredients :

      Capsicum - 1/2 kg Coconut - 1 cup (grated) Tamarind - lime sized salt oil - 3 tbsps

      To season :

      Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Asafoetida - 1 pinch cloves - few jaggery - as desired turmeric powder - a pinch

      Fry in a teaspoon of oil and

      powder the ingredients given below:

      Red gram dhal - 1tsp Bengal gram dhal - 1tsp Black gram dhal - 1tsp coriander seeds - 1tsp Fenugreek seeds - 1 pinch red chillies - 6

      • to grind. Strain to get 1st extract 3. Take three extracts. Keep each extract separately.

        4. Heat oill, add the seasonings, fry for a minute then with capsicums and fry till it becomes soft in a reduced flame 5. Add turmeric powder, tamarind extract and jaggery 6.

        Mix powdered masala, and third extract of the coconut, allow it to boil and then pour the second extract to it.

        7. When the gravy is thick enough and before removing from fire pour first extract.

        8. Boil for a minute and garnish with curry leaves.

        Variation : Diced potatoes and tomatoes can also be added if desired.

        Use Brinjals in place of capsicum. Small onions can also be added with brinjals.
