I was highly disappointed by this movie. It had such potential, starring comic giants Rob Schneider, David Spade, Jon Heder, and Jon Lovitz. But it failed to entertain.

Gus (Schneider), Richie (Spade), and Clark (Heder) are three misfit friends who love baseball. One day, as they’re

getting ready to play, they notice some bullies picking on a group of nerds. Gus, Richie, and Clark chase the bullies off the baseball diamond so the nerds can play.

They find out that one of the nerds, Nelson (Max Prado) is the son of billionaire Mel (Lovitz). He’s holding a baseball tournament for Little League, and the prize is a multi-million dollar baseball park. Gus, Richie, and Spade form their own team, the Benchwarmers, to compete. The odds are against them, but they’re fighting for nerdy kids everywhere.

      Things go awry ...

      • Movie:
when it comes out that Gus was NOT bullied as a child; he WAS the bully. His young fans lose faith in him, and his team threatens to disband. He must mend the fences of his past to bring his friends back together and win
      the tournament.

The problem with this comedy was that IT WAS NOT FUNNY. With such a great cast, it should have been laugh-out-loud funny; but the plot was a tad disjointed, and the writing was less than clever. I was disappointed but would recommend the film for family viewing.
