I have to say this is one of my all-time favorite Ben Stiller movies. I’m not really a Stiller fan; the only movie he’s really “acted” in was the hilarious Zoolander; otherwise, he always plays the same character: neurotic, a little nerdy, uncommitted, but with a good soul. He was pretty much that same person in “Museum”; but in this magnificent movie, it works.
Larry Daley (Stiller) is a
deadbeat dad (a typical Stiller role) who can’t seem to hold down a decent job. His ex-wife is disgusted; even his son Nick (Jake Cherry) is disappointed in his dad. But Larry hopes things will turn around when he gets hired as a night watchman for the Museum of Natural History.
