“Blood Drive” is the episode of “The Office” that originally aired on NBC on March 5, 2009. This was an average episode that suffered from a lack of Andy Bernard and a very subdued Dwight Schrute.

Pros: Jim and Pam going to lunch with Phyllis and Bob Vance was pretty funny, especially the part when

Phyllis and Bob leave the table for an extended period of time and they return very hungry and, in Phyllis’ case, very thirsty. In a way, it was cute that Phyllis has some passion in her life. Also, Michael telling Jim and Pam that they were being too ’sexy’ just because Jim sent Pam ...

      • flowers was hilarious. Also, Michael was very likeable in this episode because he was not too over the top. We were all pulling for him to find a love interest and were disappointed when it fell through.

Cons: Andy Bernard was not in this episode. He is one of the best characters on

the show, and it suffered without him. Also, Dwight was portrayed as just a shadow of his former confident self. It seems like his breakup with Angela has stolen his bravado.

Overall: Even an average episode of “The Office” is better than most comedies on TV. I give this one an 8 out of 10.
