When I rented the movie “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” I figured it wouldn’t be as good as the first two Mummy movies made before it (The Mummy and The Mummy Returns). I was right.

If this had been made as a stand-alone movie, perhaps a martial arts

film, it wouldn’t have been half bad.

Jet Li does a good job portraying China’s Dragon Emperor, who has been brought back to life and seeks to conquer the world.

But, the fact it is supposed to be a continuation of the Mummy films just doesn’t work.

      First of all,

      • Brendan Fraser is too young, or at least looks too young, to be playing the father of a 20-something-year-old.

It’s as though he was frozen for 14 years and stayed the same age while everyone else aged.

Seriously, don’t they have make up that can make him look older?

        And,

I’m not a big fan of the actress that was chosen to play his wife.

Rachel Weisz was a hundred times better and you can notice the difference.

Again, this movie had some potential but, when compared to the other two Mummy movies, it falls short and was not as enjoyable as it could have been.
