Last night, I once again sat down with my daughter to watch a movie with her. And, of course, I let her pick the film.

She chose Scooby Doo and the Witch’s Ghost.

And, for the most part, I liked her decision.

This is a newer Scooby Doo film, as evidenced by their

      more modern clothing.

But, for the most part, it was your typical Scooby Doo episode (except it was an hour in length).

      Mystery Inc.

visits a writer’s home town and, upon hearing about the ghost of his long-lost ancestor, who was accused of being a witch, they seek to find out the truth ...

      • about the ghost and clear the ancestor’s name.

The mystery ends up being a bit too easy to solve in my opinion.

        Usually, they rely on clues.

This time, they pretty much just had to follow people around to get their answer (which was a bit lame).

But, the twist at the end

of the film is definitely interesting and makes it worth watching in my opinion.

Just one word of caution though, there were a few scenes that might be a bit too intense for a child under the age of 5.

You might want to keep that in mind before sitting down to watch this with young children.
