A totally demented Paul Naschy film that, to my knowledge, was the last of the shambling, old school style mummy movies featuring a rampaging, bandaged monster. Paul plays the role of the Mummy as well as the Mummy’s evil assistant

and he does so to the hilt. A very violent exercise in cinema excess, this film contains some utterly jaw dropping gore. If you are seeing the unedited version! I point that out because there was a jeavily edited TV ...

      • version that was released on video some twenty years ago and bootleggers have offered dupes of it on Ebay. Stay away from that version! Get ahold of the more recent DVD’s that are the theatrical, R-Rated cut of the film.
/> Paul’s first and only Mummy movie was an attempt to branch out into other non-werewolf characters. (He was planning on a Frankenstein film but it was never made) Sadly, within three years of making this film, Paul’s horror career would slow down considerably.
