A Clean Slate is a book from the now defunct Red Dress Ink books devoted to women and written by women. This book tells the story of Kelly, a woman who walks into the dry cleaners and learns that her entire life has changed.

The last thing she remembers is getting ready

for her 30th birthday, but she now learns that the event was six months ago and she can’t remember anything since then.

She lost her job, got dumped by her boyfriend and sold her house.

She realizes that she now has a clean slate and the option to do anything she wants ...

      • so she goes back to her first love photography and embarks on a brand new life, hoping to get away from her past.

I didn’t really like this book the first time I read it, but recently I read it again and found myself really getting involved in the story of Kelly.

I wanted her to succeed and get away from her ex Ben, who seemed like a horrible person.

The author tries to make Ben out to be a romantic hero, but it never really works the way she intends.

This was a good book and I really recommend it to people who like chick lit.
