Stargate SG-1: Thor’s Chariot is a follow up to the wonderful Thor’s Hammer episode from season 1. Now that the team has destroyed the hammer in order to save Teal’c, the planet is being overrun by Goa’uld. When the SGC learns of the events, they have to decide whether or not to help.

is actually a funny scene. The team is debating the issue with General Hammond. It’s Amanda Tapping’s line as Sam, at the end of the scene, that is a hoot, and I don’t want to give it away here. I laugh every time I see her explain why she had a hand ...

      • in the original situation.

The most important thing about this show is that we meet Thor for the first time. Thor is an Asgard, and the Asgard end up being a big part of the SGC’s future. The first meeting doesn’t necessarily go so smoothly, though.

Another fun spot is watching Daniel, Sam, and one

of the inhabitants try and pass a series of tests to prove their worthiness. There’s some good stuff in those scenes. One of the neat points is just watching how the science twins, Daniel and Sam, work together to meet their goal.

This is another good episode, one I enjoy watching quite a lot.
