Tomb of the Werewolf (2003) A thorough, total and utter travesty and the only film I have ever seen that was both excruciating to watch and emtionally painful as well. I’ve been reviewing several of Paul Naschy’s films on here lately.

Naschy was Spain’s reigning king of horror in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s and

his output between the late 1970’s to present has far from non-existent, but the films that he did make were not as good as his early output.

In the twenty years prior to this mess, Paul made three werewolf films in the Waldemar Danisky saga.

When this film was announced fans were overjoyed to ...

      • hear that a new werewolf film was being made and that is was being made in the USA! Paul had frequently mentioned he wished to do a werewolf film in the USA but never did and it was something he regretted.

(He was offered work in the USA in the 1970’s, but stayed in

Spain) To be blunt, TOMB OF THE WEREWOLF is a rotten exercise in softcore porn, direct to DVD dreck that is an utter embarrassment to watch and a total waste of the great talents of Paul Naschy.

I would much rather have seen him not make this trash.

The producers of this exploitation should be ashamed of themselves.
