I have no idea how I found this website. You know how it is, when you click on an interesting link, and from there you click on another? Somehow, through a series of blogs, I landed at Charming, but Single (www.charmingbutsingle.com), a blog by a girl (known only as Charming) in her late 20s and her many dating adventures.

She has monikers for each of her friends: TheLawyer, SouthernBelle, etc., and for the guys she

has dated: T, Passport, TheEngineer, etc.

She writes about her nights out, the dates she goes on, and mostly, what it’s like to be single when it feels like everyone around you is in a stable relationship and many of your friends are getting married.

It’s a very absorbing blog. She writes well, and it really feels like she’s letting you into her life. There are times when it seems like she is being overly ...

      • sensitive, but if you think about it, who wouldn’t be? It’s a couple oriented world. She does seem to have a lot of fun being single, though - lots of parties and random nights out where she seems to meet up with a lot of friends, as well as activities and short trips with those friends. It’s also fun to read about some of her adventures in college.

There are quite a few really long

posts, but there are several short ones that are really snappy and actually kind of funny. She does present a very ‘party’ based life, though - even though she mentions that she has a career - I think in PR or marketing, she rarely mentions her work or even what field she’s in. It really is a dating/social life/occasionally food blog.

In general, I find that I really enjoy this glimpse into another person’s life, voyeuristic as it is.
