I have watched the movie ‘Poison Ivy’. The director is Katt Shea. The actors are Drew Barrymore, Sara and Tom. Sara plays the role of Sylvie and Drew of Ivy. All the actors have performed well.

Sara is a high school student in California. It is here that she makes friedship of Ivy. Ivy is a poor girl, but she manages to study because of certain scholarship which she has received. Though poor, Ivy is a brilliant student. Furthermore, she is attractive and this

is one reason why Sylvie feels attracted by Ivy and welcomes her friendship. The friendship between the two of them grows day by day and increases to such an intensity that Ivy makes friends with the entire family of Sylvie.

And then Ivy shows her true nature. Until now, we were given the impression that Ivy is a poor and innocent girl, but now she shows her seductive nature. She manages a romantic relationship with Sylvie’s father. And Sylvie’s mother commits suicide. And ...

      • of course, Ivy has a hand in the suicide of Sylvie’s mother.

Somehow, Sylvie gets the idea that Ivy must be knowing about her mother’s suicide. So, she questions Ivy. Ivy leads Sylvie into an accident in order to avoid this question. Fortunately, Sylvie survived the accident. But now she realized that Ivy is a very dangerous character. She regrets her making friendship with Ivy. She also now feels sure that Ivy is responsible for the suicide of her mother. Sylvie considers to get

rid of Ivy and wonders how to do it. The rest of the movie is interesting.

The movie has been shot in an excellent manner and is quite interesting. But the most important thing is the message of the story. One should not make anybody’s friendship hastily. At least, one should think many times before introducing a person to the family. The film also makes us understand how dangerous some people are. I liked the movie and will rate it 7 out of 10 points.
