ZapJury.com is a website offering income opportunities for those wishing to become online "mock" juror and assess real cases-both criminal and civil- that are actually pending.
Some cases needing your evaluation are for a specific fee and some are non-paying and simply offered by the attorneys to see your response. Whether you are paid a fee depends upon your particular demographics and sometimes you can get an additional fee if you work with a group of other "mock" jurors evaluating certain individual cases. You can, they say, even attempt to counter-offer for a higher fee, if you think what they offer is too low.
You pick the cases you find interesting and are provided with synopsis, facts, instructions and arguments. They then are supposed to list certain questions related to the case, which you are to respond to, based on the information you were given.
This is, as best I can describe, what ZapJury.com is supposed to be all about. It sounds interesting and like an imtriguing way to earn some cash, doesn't it? I thought so, too, and signed up for it.
My experience so far, has been disappointing.
I have logged in to my account, chosen two cases-as that was basically all that was available for my evaluation- and tried to complete both evaluations.
Here's where the real frustration begins. When I accessed both cases, and read through all of the information regarding them, there was supposed to be a section, at the conclusion of this information, where questions were listed and which I was supposed to answer. Instead of questions, there was only an error message and no questions were listed. I made a number of attempts to do these evaluations, and, each time, the same thing happened.
I have contacted them on a number of occasions regarding these technical issues and still have not received any response from them. When I look for a solid work-at-home income opportunity, one of the main things I look for is how responsive they are to my questions. When I contact the administration of a program and a month goes by without any responsiveness from them, I am not going to waste my time with it.
ZapJury.com sounds wonderful, in theory, but, in practice, I have found it to be extremely disappointing and will remain somewhat skeptical until I have a respnse back from them, indicating that they are concerned about my issues.
