Released as El Retorno del Hombre-Lobo in Spain, Paul Naschy opted to remake his greatest success, The Werewolf’s Shadow, to recoup the cash that he lost on his previous non-werewolf films. It didn’t work out.

film was a major failure and it bankrupted Naschy’s company.

What a shame as it isn’t a bad film.

Actually, it’s pretty good and as a big budget remake, it’s enjoyable.

It does not, however, make ...

      • for a scarier or better film than the original.

It is WAY more violent as the werewolf once again takes on the vampiress Countess Elizebeth Bathory.

Shame no one saw it this time around.

        Curiously, this

saw a theatrical release in Texas in 1986.

        How’d that happen?

And to make matters worse, he gets JUMPED BY THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN! And the werewolf grapples with a guy in a gorilla suit–I mean–the yeti in the inconprehensible comclusion.
