GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN
  • For three nights last summer I stayed in this fantastic hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay
  • Upon entering I found myself in a glass courtyard with a number of restaurants, glass lifts and an artificial waterfall
  • The double room cost around SEK1,190 per night which I thought was quite good for a 4 star hotel
  • The bar and restaurant also offers excellent international and Swedish cuisine and there is also a coffee shop with delicious pastries
  • However, if you prefer to eat out you won't be disappointed as there are many fine restaurants in town to choose from

For three nights last summer I stayed in this fantastic hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It’s a large hotel with big rooms which are arranged around a huge atrium. Upon entering I found myself in a glass courtyard with a number of restaurants, glass lifts and an artificial waterfall.

There is a restaurant in the middle of the atrium where breakfast is also served and there is also a bar. The rooms have everything you will need

      - bath or shower, TV, wireless internet access, minibar, air conditioning and a whole lot more.

Guests also have access to a fitness centre with pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym (entrance is free for guests staying in Royal Club rooms and suites). Our room was large and very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, and the bathroom with the marble bath was lovely.

The double room cost around SEK1,190 per night which I thought was quite good for ...

      • a 4 star hotel. The service was good too, with the staff polite and helpful.

The food was lovely and it was nice to have such a wide choice at breakfast. The bar and restaurant also offers excellent international and Swedish cuisine and there is also a coffee shop with delicious pastries.

However, if you prefer to eat out you won’t be disappointed as there are many fine restaurants in town to choose from. The great thing about this

hotel is that it’s in a great location, right in the town centre with everything of interest close by so it is very convinient.

It’s also close to the Central Station and the shops, and an easy walk to the harbour and Opera. If you need to go further you can take one of the trams or buses which are just outside.

I really loved staying here and will certainly go back again. It’s the best hotel in Gothenburg.
