  • I think, Roger, the owner is doing a good job of bringing in unique and eclectic music to this small town, which surprisingly already has quite a bit going on
  • I really love the atmosphere and layout of the room
  • I like sitting in the sofas and big chairs which are everywhere
  • I really enjoy watching some of the best pool players in the area, drawn in by Roger's high quality pool table

I am really enjoying this relatively new tavern in the small town of Ridgway. The Switchback Tavern has live music almost every weekend by great local and regional bands. I think, Roger, the owner is doing a good job of bringing in unique and eclectic music to this small town, which surprisingly already has quite a bit going on. There is a very good sound system at the

Switchback and a sizable dance floor where I really enjoy dancing to a variety of bands.

Some people don’t like the basement aspect of this tavern, but I think the owner has done an outstanding job on the decor and feel of this place. When I walk into the room, I feel like it has a very spacious feel. There is warm deep woodwork all around the room and deep,

      • rich colors. I really love the atmosphere and layout of the room. I like sitting in the sofas and big chairs which are everywhere. It is a comfortable and enjoyable place to sit and talk with neighbors and friends or watch sporting events on the big screen TV. I really enjoy watching some of the best pool players in the area, drawn in by Roger’s high quality
        pool table.

Drinks are not overly expensive here and most often poured and served by Roger himself. I actually really like the food here, much better than usual tavern fare in my opinion. The burgers are good and I like the grilled salmon. It seems menu choices are expanding as time goes on.

I think the Switchback makes a great addition to the small town of Ridgway and I like spending time there.
