  • The theaters were packed with people of all ages to see the third installment of the series, and while I do admit that it is somewhat embarrassing to admit that I would like a film that caters so obviously to a demographic that I'm too old to fit in, I proudly say that it is one of the best film experiences that I've had, really
  • They relationship is still cloyingly honeyed both on and off the movie, and Vanessa's singing still woefully nasal, but all in all they both have stepped up their performances to embody more emotion than I thought their acting was capable of
  • New characters and new actors are given an unusually wide role, perhaps for the purpose of creating a sequel, but in my opinion High School Musical 3 is epic enough to end it as it is
  • Now, as I know from personal experience, senior year was probably one of the most turbulent times of my high school career, and scholarships and applications did not help matters

Disney truly has outdone itself this time with “High School Musical 3.” It is a fitting finish to the entire franchise that spawned such fervor in the preteen/high-schooler-wannabe population, and I am very pleased with the ending. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are back onscreen, and their chemistry is more tangible than ever. Troy and Gabriella’s romance live on in this sequel to “High School Musical 1″ and “High School Musical 2,” as they prepare to apply to college and find their futures. Now, as I know from personal experience,

senior year was probably one of the most turbulent times of my high school career, and scholarships and applications did not help matters. High School Musical has been criticized before for promoting an unreal vision of teenage life to young, impressionable children who are infatuated with the glamour of such a vision and are blind to the reality of it. However, I felt that this last installment truly hit the right note, and portrayed high school as it was.
