If you can’t tell from the title of this episode “Any Given Friday Night at 10PM, 9PM Central” this episode of Psych is about football. Now I’m not that big of a football fan, but I am a fan and I can understand where many of these jokes come from.

      In this episode Shawn and

Gus go undercover in a professional football training camp to find out who killed the teams kicker.

The problem is that once they get there they find out that no one liked him, and not just because he was the kicker.

He was gambling and losing money.

Some times on Psych the mystery is important ...

      • and other times it is completely unimportant.

This is one of the latter.

This is a chance for Shawn and Gus to hang around in a football locker room and make jokes.

My biggest problem with this entire series is that sometimes Shawn becomes a little one note.

No matter what is happening he is

        doing the same thing.

The police find a foot and he’s making puns.

That’s the character and I understand it but that doesn’t make it any less one note, and at some point they need to have the character begin to change.

He shouldn’t change too much but some sign of being an adult would be great.
