I thought that this was one of the most fascinating episodes from the popular 1990s television show “The X-Files”. I thought it was fascinating first because of the introduction to the show as well as the plot of the whole episode. The characters themselves were also quite interesting especially the little boy and his father. It is the 196th episode of the television series “The X-Files” and it is also the 14th episode in the 9th season.

One of the things which caught my attention

about this episode as most of the other X-Files episodes was the introduction to it. The episode starts out where a little boy is in bed in the night about to sleep, but he keeps looking around the room as if he’s scared and then calls his father because he thinks he saw something under the bed. The father comes in, looks under the bed, and even though the viewer sees something hurry past on the screen under the bed and the father’s expression ...

      • indicates that he sees it, the father claims he saw nothing and that the boy should go to bed.

However, as soon as the father closes the door the thing emerges from under the bed and the little boy gets scared and tries to unlock the door and screams for his father, but the father holds the door firmly from the outside so the boy cannot get out of his room.

When the episode finally starts though, an FBI agent approaches Scully and tells

her about a case where a woman stabbed herself multiple times until she died. However, when agent agent Reyes and Doggett goes to investigate the case, the father of the boy from the introduction to the episode, and the widower to the woman who died does not want the FBI to speak to his son.

I would recommend this episode to those who are fans of science fiction as well as horror. I would also recommend it to both old and new fans of “The X-Files”.
