Starring: Stephen Dorff (Mike Reilly), Natasha McElhone (Teri Houston) Stephen Rea (the Doctor)

Real-time torture broadcasted through the Internet terrifying if you have just accessed the website Fear.dot.com; and given a limited period to solve the problem or die! This movie should be exciting, given such a storyline, but sadly it fell short of expectations.

Police detective Mike Reilly and Department of Health inspector Teri Houston were looking into the cases

of people who have died from strange causes. It was at first suspected to be some sort of virus attack, like the Ebola; however it was found that the victims met their deaths after accessing a website Fear.dot.com, which broadcasted inhumane acts of torture and death. The killer behind this was the Doctor, a failed medical doctor who enjoyed having an audience to his monstrous deeds. The horror intensified when ...

      • those who visited the site died after 48 hours, after experiencing paranoia and hallucinations. Just as Teri deduced, they had died from their greatest fears. She and Reilly also encountered the ghostly appearance of a little girl, whom they discovered to have been one of the Doctor’s victims.

The movie is quite dark; at first I thought it was the quality of the Dvd; but apparently it is supposed to

be like that, which makes it rather difficult to make out the expressions of the actors and actresses. The performance of the cast is mundane; the storyline itself is very similar to the Ring, but the plots here are rather cluttered. It is only near the end that I realized that there was an element of revenge involved; but it is still rather baffling and convoluted! When the show ended, I am still confused!
