Nurse Betty with Renee Zellweger, Morgan Freeman, Chris Rock, and Greg Kinnear. The movie was excellent primarily because of the all star cast. Zellweger is not great looking, but her on screen wholesomeness shines through to make her really desirable.

Morgan Freeman plays a hired assassin with a heart who swears by the justification that he is merely a human garbage collector of lives that deserve to be ended. Chris Rock plays his loud mouthed son and apprentice.

Kinnear does a great job as the shallow actor that he usually appears to be. This great ensemble

portrays a disjointed group of colorful characters that find themselves brought together by a soap opera called A Reason To Live.

Zellweger, as Betty, is a waitress in love with the star actor who plays a doctor in this Soap Opera. Her husband puts her down for this and describes her as one of the flock of people with no lives who watch people with fake lives.

She witnesses her husband’s murder and in a state of shock loses her identity. She actually believes that the on screen Doctor David Ravell is real and goes to Hollywood in ...

      • pursuit of his love.

The killers chase her in pursuit of a mystery cargo in the trunk of her car and to terminate her as a witness of the crime. What is in the trunk? This question along with plenty of plot twists keeps the audience attention at a constant high.

It is hard to classify the genre of this film, because it has a little of everything. Still, all in all, the romanticism expressed by Zellweger’s Betty is the overpowering theme.

I felt like I was watching the fable in which the prince looks

for the love of his life who left him only with a glass slipper. Her life becomes a real fantasy.

The music evokes plenty of emotion. The scene in which she realizes that it is all an allusion on her part is really powerful.

When she asks, What is going on? I felt my heart break along with hers. The ending is a happy one, though it did end badly for the love smitten Freeman, who dreamt of retiring with Betty as his mate.

This was a super movie despite the simple title and should be watched with a loved one.
