For years, when I thought of boxing movies, I always put Rocky on top of the list. However, after seeing Cinderella Man, there is a new #1.

Based on the real life story of Jim Braddock, the movie focused on

the Great Depression and how one man’s return to glory inspired a nation.

Unlike Rocky, even though Braddock get’s a chance to fight the champion at the end, it didn’t just focus on that one fight.

      Instead, they filmed all ...

      • of the fights leading up to his match against Heavy Weight champ Max Baer.

And, the fight scenes were some of the most realistic I’ve ever seen.

The only complaint I would have about the movie is how Baer was

        portrayed.

In the movie, he was a villian who had no regard for his opponents in the ring, even when he would kill one.

        Something that historically isn’t true.

But, that’s Hollywood and it didn’t take much away from an otherwise great movie.
