  • Her moral debates with him were fun and interesting to watch because she could go step to step with Picard
  • The dialogue also improved in this season and seemed less wooden and awkward, but unfortunately the weak scripts hurt this as well

The second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation is not as good as the first season. In the second season, the stories did not seem to contain as much wonder and sense of excitement and exploration, like in the first season episodes “Encounter at Farpoint, Parts One and Two” and “Where No One Has Gone Before”.

In addition, the stories did not contain as much action either, like the

first season episodes “Arsenal of Freedom” and “Conspiracy”.

Season two did feature some classics like “Q Who?”, “Contagion” and “Elementary, Dear Data”, but for the most part, season two is pretty bland and the season finale is terrible - amounting to nothing more than a clip show for the most part.

I did not pay full price for the DVD set of this season as a result.

      I simply waited ...

      • for the price to come down because I didn’t feel this season was worth $100, especially when this season contained the fewest episodes of all the seasons.

One thing I do like about this season is the addition of Dr.

        Pulaski’s character.

I liked how she had an edge to her personality - she told Captain Picard exactly what was on her mind and she was tough.

        Her moral debates

with him were fun and interesting to watch because she could go step to step with Picard.

It’s a shame she only lasted one season.

The dialogue also improved in this season and seemed less wooden and awkward, but unfortunately the weak scripts hurt this as well.

Overall, the season exhibits more weaknesses than strengths, but it’s still worth $30 or so dollars if you can get the set at that price.
