L’Oreal Cosmetics (c) Telescopic Mascara promises much, and offers much… less. At the first application, the Telescopic Mascara seems to hold to its promises. Your lashes will look longer and separated, giving the impression of expanding lashes.

However, just a few hours after this initial application, you will begin to see the downside of the mascara. The lashes that separated so willingly clump together as the mascara melts into globs of dark colored glue. Of course, the melting also promotes

smudging; and the slightest bump with your finger could leave you looking like you’d cried all night.

By the second application of L’Oreal’s Telescopic Mascara, you will be able to see issues in the bottle itself, not just on your lashes. The plastic applicator, (yes it’s really plastic), will have clumps of mascara instead of a smooth even coating. Mascara that hasn’t become clumpy and attached itself to the mascara wand is stringy and drippy, making it hard to apply ...

      • at all.

You would think, after running down your face all day, the mascara would at least be easy to remove. Perhaps I am just too lazy to spend the time it would require to remove this mascara. However, after the first five minutes of scrubbing at my eyes with makeup remover, I still looked like a raccoon. I continued to look like a raccoon for the next morning at work as well.

The one upside to the Telescopic Mascara

is its hypoallergenic properties. I have very sensitive eyes, wear contacts on a daily basis and have seasonal allergies. At least one of these is usually affected by my mascara. L’Oreal’s Telescopic Mascara, however, did not irritate my eyes in the slightest - even when it was attaching itself behind my contacts during the melting process.

In short, the performance of the mascara makes it worthy of the trashcan, not your makeup bag.

        Quick Facts:

Pros: Hypoallergenic Safe for Contact Wearers

Cons: Clumps easily Does not wear well Very difficult to remove
