When the Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe came out, I remember wanting to go see it at the theater only to find it was always sold out. Now that I’ve seen it on DVD, I’m glad I didn’t

      waste my money.

I’m not really sure how to describe the movie or what my objections were.

The best way I can word this is it was a “tweener” movie.

The plot was too silly for adults and the movie was a little ...

      • too violent for kids, especially since it was usually cute, furry animals being struck down.

It’s been a while since I read the book but I’m sure this movie really didn’t do it any justice.

It looked like the producers were trying to

recreate the success of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy but fell a little short because they didn’t want to spend the time or money on a decent script.

I looked forward to watching the movie but I was extremely grateful when it finally ended.
