Orlando Bloom may be a great character actor and eye candy for women every where but, as a leading actor, he leaves a lot to be desired. The movie Elizabethtown had great intentions and could have been a great love story.

But, in my opinion, it fell flat.

Kirsten Dunst did her best to keep the movie interesting, but despite her best efforts she wasn’t good enough to save the movie.

And some of the somber moments in the movie were enough to make even the toughest person in the room shed a tear.

But, overall, the movie fell flat.

Things that were meant to be funny

weren’t and many scenes (such as them having a long conversation over the phone) seemed like they were added just to make the movie longer than it probably should have been.

While it was an OK date movie, I’m glad I didn’t spend the money to see it at a movie theater.
