Scott McCloud brings us a sequel to his brilliant book UNDERSTANDING COMICS. What the first book did was create a textbook that, in an entertaining, illustrated way, described what exactly a

comic is (sequential art with a plot) and how it is properly crafted by all those involved in creating one.

What is this book about? Well, it comes off a great ...

      • deal like a bunch of material that was edited out of the first book.

It really lacks the cohesive nature of the first one and disappoints on a grand scale.

subheading of the book mentions how “imagination and technology” are reinventing comics.

I guess that’s the flimsy way of holding the book together.

Simply revisiting an old book doesn’t make the new one any enjoyable.

        A major letdown.
