  • When I tried this scent on, I first noticed that it had a very refreshing, oriental scent, yet it was quite low key- not too pushy a fragrance
  • In my opinion it's an elegant, modern fragrance, and is ideal for me as I'm an office worker- I don't need a very strong, pushy fragrance as I'm not in an environment where it would be suitable

      Valentino was originally founded as a fashion house in 1965 by Valentino Garavani. Valentino himself had had his debut in 1962 in Florence, the fashion capital, and he later moved to Rome where he had his first all-white collection and developed his signature ‘V’ logo. He soon expanded with help from the entreprenurial spirit of

      his partner Giammetti, moving in New York fashion circles and developing his fashion house.

      In 2005 Valentino the fashion house- now owned by Marzotto Apparel- released the fragrance Valentino V. They later released further scents, both for men and for women.

      When I tried this scent on, I first noticed that it had a very refreshing, oriental scent, yet it was quite low key- not too pushy a fragrance. There are top notes of mandarin, pink grapefruit, and fig blend with heart notes of orange blossom, rose petal and heliotrope with gentle undertones of cedarwood and amber- and I could also smell vanilla and musk develop throughout the day, when the floral ...

      scents dissipated a bit and allowed the woody scents to come through.

      The fragrance itself is presented in an originally styled glass bottle, which doesn’t look tacky like so many other perfumes tend to. There are also accompanying lotions and bath and shower gels, which supposedly allow you to layer the scent to make it last

      longer- I personally was not convinced with this idea, and prefer just using the perfume at my pulse points.

      In my opinion it’s an elegant, modern fragrance, and is ideal for me as I’m an office worker- I don’t need a very strong, pushy fragrance as I’m not in an environment where it would be suitable.
