  • I would suggest walking here from your hotel if you can because if the garage is full and you have to park elsewhere it will cost you a bundle
  • I was not at all impressed with the quality of the pasta at this place
  • Once again, I think it is important for an Italian restaurant to make their authentic standard Italian fare with a little TLC and with a house special recipe
  • The lights are dimmed and the place is dark and could possibly be mistaken for a romantic setting, but if they serve crappy food, it kind of ruins the mood in my opinion, especially once you get the bill

This restaurant is located in the Marine Surf Hotel in the heart of Waikiki. We had trouble with parking and had to park in a garage which they did not validate for, and it was extremely expensive. I would suggest walking here from your hotel if you can because if the garage is full and you have to park elsewhere it will cost you a bundle. And, after you’ve overpaid for just an average

tasting meal at this restaurant, you will feel extremely ripped off when you are forced to fork out another $20 for parking.

Yes, you heard me right, the food is only mediocre. I was not at all impressed with the quality of the pasta at this place. The sauce is bland and nothing special at all. And, the entrees are much too pricy for this only average quality food. The salad was a huge disappointment. For the price I expected an abundance of toppings on the lettuce, but they seriously skimped on the tomatoes and other ingredients, and instead filled the plate with iceberg lettuce of all things. I mean, when I go to a fancy restaurant and spend money on a salad, I expect it to be romaine or red leaf or a fancy spring mix, but not watery iceberg lettuce. I was very disappointed.

The dressing tasted like it was right out of a bottle, not a house specialty made in house - shame on them.

The chicken parmigiano was greasy and the batter nothing special. Once again, I think it is important for an Italian restaurant to make their authentic standard Italian fare with a little TLC and with a house special recipe. I feel ripped off when they just throw something shabbily together and call it momma’s

authentic Italian recipe - shame on them. I would not suggest wasting your money at this supposedly fine dining place. The lights are dimmed and the place is dark and could possibly be mistaken for a romantic setting, but if they serve crappy food, it kind of ruins the mood in my opinion, especially once you get the bill! Now, the wine list is extensive, so if you are going there to drink wine, you will be pleased.
