Around The Fur is the Deftones second album, released in 1997, again produced by Terry Date. The band has stated the meaning of Around The Fur is something thats not bad, but not good around the fur.

My Own Summer is one of the best songs ever, the song is extreme, the video is one

of the few videos are really like.

Lhabia is not as aggressive as the first song, it has some angry screaming vocals over smooth guitar and bass lines.

Mascara is a laid back song, it has a really creepy heavy feel to it at the same time.

Around The Fur is one of the best ...

      • songs, with some of the best lyrics.

Rickets is yet another favorite, and of course Be Quiet and drive (far away) a beautiful song.

Lotion is another heavy number with drunken style lyrics switched boldly back and forth between a beautiful melody, how do you explain his style? Dai The Flu is unique enough to

really stand out here, the guitarist Steph really comes up with some interesting stuff.

Headup features Max Cavalera of Sepultura, it somehow manages to be one of my least favorite songs even though I am a big fan of Max Cavalera.

MX is the last track on the album and features the hidden track Damone.
