  • I like this album more than the last, it just seems more together and sharp, and heavier, with none of the horrible Nu metal feel to it, this was a really great album

Iowa is Slipknot’s third album and second album on Roadrunner Records, produced by Ross Robinson and Slipknot and released in August of 2001. The first thing people notice about this album is it’s artwork, it really is something I’ve never seen before, they used a shiny metallic looking mirror paper,

on the inside the paper is really thin, and the light shines through it. Slipknot changed their masks slightly this time, evolving they call it, they wear black jumpsuits instead or orange ones, and all the rapping seems to be gone on this one thankfully. 515 is a good intro ...

      • and gets the listener pumped up for the album, people = S**t is one of the bands most aggressive songs, Everything Ends is about a bad relationship Corey Taylor had as a teenager, where he went into a deep depression. I Am Hated is about feeling alienated for being different,
and Iowa is different than anything done by the band before, a 15 minute experimental sort of song. I like this album more than the last, it just seems more together and sharp, and heavier, with none of the horrible Nu metal feel to it, this was a really great album.
