This is Slipknot’s second Album, produced by Ross Robinson and released in the summer of 1999. The band includes 9 members each of them going by a number rather than a name.

      the band has a vocalist, 3 guitarists a bassist, 3 drummers, a dj, and a keyboard/sampler.

All of the members wear masks and a jumpsuit.

      The band was accused

of copyright infringement due to the lyrics of the tracks Frail Limb Nursery, and Purity, Corey Taylor the vocalist took the lyrics from what he thought to be a true story, the story turned out to be fiction, these 2 tracks were replaced by the song Me Inside on a reissued version.

The album contains a hidden track after a conversation ...

      • at the end of the album entitled Eeyore.

The album is a really good album, the vocalist Corey has a really nice voice, and manages to mix melody and screaming vocals well, he raps on the album too though, and that isn’t really my thing.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the band and Mushroomhead, a band with eight

members who wear masks and formed before this band existed, Mushroomhead visited Roadrunner Records first, and were denied a record deal, then soon after Slipknot emerged, it makes me wonder if Roadrunner gave Slipknot the idea.

It’s a good album with good songs for the most part, the guitars are really mature and they create a sound that is pure chaos.
