Arise is the fourth album by Sepultura released in 1991, this is a pure thrash metal album before the band started to get weird, many fans call this the bands last great album, and best album. The band traveled to the home of death metal, Florida, to work with

producer Scott Burns (Cannibal Corpse, Death, Deicide, Suffocation) this is the album Sepultura first used tribal drums, on the song Altered States, they drew influence also from industrial bands that they listened to at the time. The band had a large budget to record this album, this allowed them more ...

      • experimentation on the album. They toured the album with Obituary and Sadus, the band toured world wide, the album sold better than expected, and the fan base grew stronger than ever. I don’t really have any favorite tracks on the album because they all really stand out, the Motorhead cover
of Orgasmatron was really impressive. This album is a classic thrash metal album and every fan of the genre should own a copy, it’s one of the band’s heaviest albums, although not the fastest, more sharp and focused when it needs to be. I have no complaints, its near flawless.
