In 1998 , 4 years after the first Resident Evil (Biohazard 2 in Japan), Capcom raise the bar considerably with the sequel. You can change the settings between 3 different levels of difficulty.

You Start the game as Leon Kennedy, and Claire Redfield (Chris

Redfield from Resident Evil is her brother).

The setting is similar to the first, this time you stumble upon Raccoon City as a rookie cop on his first day of the job, the city is in chaos due to the outbreak of the “T-Virus” This time the level is bigger, there are more mutants, more puzzles, more guns, and the game is longer.

Like the first this game has a considerable learning curve on getting the controls down (is you played the first resident evil you should ...

already have them down), on top of enhanced graphics and improved amv sequences the game is more violent, although maybe not as creepy.

There are many unlockables such as mini games, guns and the like.

Also there is just more going on in this

game, more characters and more interaction with interesting new enemies.

There are plans to remake this game for the Wii after Resident Evil 5 similar to how they remade Resident Evil for the Gamecube.

This is a great game for the dedicated and patient gamer.
