Resident Evil (knows as Biohazard in Japan) was released for the Sony Playstation in 1996 and later ported to the PC and Sega Saturn later on. A remake was releases in 2002 for the Nintendo Gamecube with better graphics and redone voice acting.

This is the version re-released in 1998 with better controls.

Resident Evil is the original survival horror game (unless you could count Alone In The Dark) the

game borrows from Alone In The Dark and an early Capcom game called Sweet home.

The setting takes place in a fictional location called Raccoon City The game starts off explaining how there have been reports of murders by an unknown number of assailant your group (called STARS) find a crashed helicopter and are chased by dogs, 4 survivors make it into a huge deserted mansion (there is an alternate ...

      • scene for each of the two playable characters, Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield) you continue the investigation to find the missing members of your team in the mansion, solving a number of tricky puzzle games.

The controls are really extremely difficult to learn, after you have them down they are easy, I have never played a game with such a massive learning curve.

This game is a really creepy game,

and I enjoy the puzzles, the zombies, the mutant dogs, this game takes time to grow on you but it really can grow on you.

This is not a game where you just run around killing everything that moves, you need to conserve your ammo and your supplies wisely, it takes a clever person to beat this game, and requires patience.

It’s well worth the money if it’s your thing.
