Starring: Tom Welling (Nick Castle), Maggie Grace (Elizabeth Williams), Selma Blair (Stevie Wayne), DeRay Davis (Spooner), Kenneth Welsh (Tom Malone),

A movie about revenge for something that happened a century ago isn’t that too long to wait? A group of lepers had planned to purchase an island to develop their colony. They brought gold and money to seal the agreement, however they were betrayed and killed by four men, the founding fathers of Antonio

      Island.

Now their ghosts are back for revenge.

Nick Castle, a charter-boat owner, his girlfriend Elizabeth, Stevie Wayne and Father Malone were the descendants of the founding fathers.

Little details heralded the attack from the past, like items long buried in the sea, were washed up by the beach a watch, a hairbrush.

Weird things were happening, and the weatherman reported a incoming fogbank.

A group who went out to sea on Nick’s boat ...

      • encountered the fog, which killed three.

The survivor had sighted a ghost ship in the fog.

And Elizabeth found a book in Nick’s boathouse, written about the events of the past, detailing the wicked deed.

I have not seen the original movie, so I have nothing to compare against this movie.

Even then, this is just middling; nothing spectacular, not in the performance of the cast or the storyline.

Maybe only the things going for this

show were the young and good-looking leading characters, and the miasmic effects of the fog.

        And there were some questions.

Why did the ghosts wait so long to take revenge? Why did only one corpse (from the three who died on Nick’s boat) revive, and just to issue a warning? This movie definitely does not qualify as a horror show.

If you are looking for something silly to pass the time, I suppose it will do.
