  • I have found that the Xbox360 console is far easier to use than it's primary competition, and also attracts a far more serious gaming clientel, which could be interpreted to be either an advantage or disadvantage based on your gaming preferences
  • Although I can accept that some people seem to link gaming as a relaxing and recreational time sink, for me, I love a degree of competitive play when i'm gaming, and so the Xbox360 is definately the console for me, with Gears Of War 2 offering the most competitive gaming experience to date
  • The experience is only made better if you've got some friends to play with too

The Xbox360 console has been around in the market for quite some time, yet like many other things in the world it has only matured with it’s age. Most commonly compared to the PlayStation3 (PS3) console I personally feel that the difference between the two is minimal at best, prospective gamers would be best off getting hold of the console that most of their friends have, after all it’s

best to play with people you actually know, right?

The console is not perfect though; issues such as quasi-frequent downtime, £35 a year fee for Xbox Live and in particuloar the ‘Red Ring Of Death’ that plagues most Xbox owners at least once in their console

owning lifetime all bring this console down. However, MicroSoft has finally agreed to replace broken Xbox’s free of charge, so whilst it might be an inconvenience at least it doesn’t place you any further out of pocket!

Overall, I would thoroughly reccomend the Xbox 360 for anyone interested in indulging in some next generation gaming action. The experience is only made better if you’ve got some friends to play with too!
