Burdock root is an herbal which can temporarily halt heavy menstrual or uterine bleeding. It is sometimes used alone and sometimes used in conjunction with other herbs such as Dong Quai, Red Clover, Yellow Dock and Dandelion. This herb has been used for decades to help control menstrual bleeding and is fairly effective at doing so.

Some of the other herbal supplements that are mentioned along with Burdock root that perform the same function are

      much more expensive.

This small bottle of Burdock Root retailed for about 5.99 to the best of my recollection. Dong Quai is much more expensive anywhere from ten to twenty dollars a bottle. Dong Quai is also more difficult to find as are the other herbs. Burdock roots can also be used and has been used as an alternative therapy in the treatment of cancer. This shouldnt be used unless you consult with your ...

Burdock can also help to clear congestion in the bile ducts and is useful to prevent kidney probelms. It can often detoxify and purify these areas. It can also be used to prevent blood sugar from rising in diabetic patients so it is a useful herb. I think for the price and it’s health benefits it is definitely a good herb to have and to use. I think I got this Nature’s

Way herb at Walgreens and I take it generally during my menstrual period but some people take this herb on a daily basis.

I would recommend it and find it to be helpful to help you feel your best if you are experiencing any of the issues described above. You should consult with your doctor to see if using Burdock root might be right for you. More information can be found about it by reading an herbal medicine guide.
