The Chaos Gate trilogy are fantasy novels written by Louise Cooper, The Deciever, The Pretender, The Avenger.

Are the titles of each book in this trilogy.

In the Deciever, Ygorla who is the half human half demon daughter of a minor Chaos demon is poised to try to take over the world.

Tirand the High Initiate has just taken over the position on the Star Peninsula. Karuth is his sister believes something different is going to happen. Strann

who is a bard also senses something is going to happen. Meanwhile the Gods of Order and the Gods of Chaos are heading for a showdown.

In the Pretender Strann makes a deal with Yandros the king god of the Chaos Gods after he came to Summer Isle where Ygorla has taken over the island. Strann manages to get himself into the good graces of Ygorla becoming her jester. Meanwhile Karuth opens a gate to ...

      • let in Tarod one of the Chaos Gods. This causes strife between Tirand who has sought the help of Ailind who is one of the Gods of Order. The Pretender is my personal favorite of the trilogy.

In the Avenger all the parties, Ygorla, the gods of Chaos, the Gods of Order, Strann and Karuth head toward a collision course. Strann plays a big part in the destruction of Ygorla.

I really like this trilogy. I will say

that I find it to be pretty dark in nature. They are definetly written to get you interested in the next book to find out what is going to happen next.

I really like that women were strong in there own right and did not rely on the men. Karuth and Even the evil Ygorla are strong characters. I thought that it was a great point of the books.

I really like the Chaos Gate Trilogy and can highly recommend it.
