This film is based on a true story set in Harlem in the late 1960’s. Frank is a driver for Bumpy Johnson, one of the cities top criminal leaders. When Bumpy dies, Frank takes over the empire and expands it by selling his own brand of heroin, Blue Magic, fresh from the fields of Thailand, shipped over in US Military planes. Meanwhile, Richie, a cop from New Jersey, begins investigating the New York drug scene and discovers that there’s a new power in town. Heroin that

      • by avoiding the attention of the law. However, one slip up one night at a boxing match in a chinchilla coat and hat, along with better seats than the Italian mafia, Roberts becomes suspicious, takes pictures and begins to investigate this unknown figure.

The film continues with the hunt to bring down Frank who know needs to be extra careful in all the moves he makes.

I really enjoyed this film thoroughly. I thought it was well dictated and the actors were brilliant in the roles they played.

There are some shocking scenes at the brutalness of the crime and drug scene and also some scenes the bring the characters to life. It shows how life can be with money, but at a cost of morals and reputation. Overall, I thought this film was very descriptive and informative and I enjoyed that it was based on a true story. Some parts I laughed and some were very sad, so you have all the emotions wrapped up in this film!

Really good, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
