  • The movie is a little bit different form the TV series and I found that fashion played a major role in the movie whereas in the TV series they were quite silent like costars
  • In my opinion if the fashion stuff would have been reduced and some more witty and humorous dialogues were added to the story it would have been far better
  • Overall the movie was quite entertaining and as far as I think those who have liked the TV series would definitely appreciate the movie too

When my husband took me to ‘Sex and the City- The Movie’ I was not very sure whether I would like it or not because I don’t usually prefer any prolongation movie and this was a continuation of the runaway hit from HBO series. But anyway when the movie started I didn’t know when I got drawn in by seeing those friends who were quite familiar, Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nyxon), once again. Carrie and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) have decided to tie the knot and the movie is just

about the changes and steps that come next in their relationship. Also in the meantime Miranda is seen neglecting her relationship with Steve and they are seen trying to sort it out. Miranda finds it difficult to balance her responsibilities of family, home, her work and social life. Samantha has turned to be a housewife living with Smith in LA and is seen going back and forth to New York and attending important social events.

Charlotte seems to be leading a perfect life with her husband and adopted daughter.

The movie has a plot that involves lifestyle of all ...

      • friends, as they are enjoying or struggling through life and I absolutely liked the way it is dealt with. The story is extremely well written and the movie moves on with series that are witty, insightful and perceptive. The movie is a little bit different form the TV series and I found that fashion played a major role in the movie whereas in the TV series they were quite silent like costars. Stanford and Anthony are shown as close friends in the movie but they were completely opposite in the series.

In my opinion if the fashion stuff would

have been reduced and some more witty and humorous dialogues were added to the story it would have been far better. Many scenes seemed to me quite lengthened, which could have been made short. However the soundtrack of the film is excellent and one must not miss the fashion show by Carrie in her apartment, which was a great fun to watch and enjoy. The Halloween scene of Harry is also not to be missed out moreover. Overall the movie was quite entertaining and as far as I think those who have liked the TV series would definitely appreciate the movie too.
