Mark Larson is a radio talk show host on KOGO 600 on the AM dial in San Diego.
This guy has had me laughing or at least smiling for years. Very few people are as quick witted or can turn a phrase like Mark. He started out years ago on KFMB Radio in San Diego with an afternoon variety show-music, talk, guests, etc. KFMB unwisely let him go in the 90's and then he migrated over to the Local Christian station.
A Christian man, Mark mixes political and social commentary laced with traditional Christian views. And as always, good humor. He is generally very gentle in his retorts to anti-Christian comments or people, which occassionally he receives. As stated, his views are traditional politically and religiously. Hearing Mark defend the "Soledad Cross" Memorial is music to the ears to most in San Diego. He takes on liberals and left wing causes with humor and understanding, always using diplomacy. He's visited the troops in the middle east to find out for himself what's going on. Few radio talk show hosts show this kind of commitment. He has always been and will always be one of my favorite people to listen to in the media, local or national.
If you live in San Diego or can hear KOGO on the internet check out Mark Larson's show from noon to 3pm Pacific Time. You may not always agree with Mark but at least you won't be bored with the same old rhetoric heard on most talk shows!
