  • The best part of this movie though is actually Lloyd Bridges, who returns as the President of the United States (though I think he was a Navy captain in the first movie)
  • If you're looking for something a bit different to watch and don't mind a movie that might cross some lines in terms of goofiness, this is a film I would recommend renting or buying

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the sequel to the movie Hot Shots; Hot Shots Part Deux. And I have to admit, after seeing it again this morning, it’s as good as I remember it being. While the first Hot Shots movie made fun of the film Top Gun,

this sequel actually manages to poke fun at the Rambo films; offering a plot similar to First Blood Part 2. Charlie Sheen reprises his role as Topper Harley (who happens to look a lot like Rambo in the movie) as he leads a rescue mission to retrieve his commander from ...

      • captivity. The best part of this movie though is actually Lloyd Bridges, who returns as the President of the United States (though I think he was a Navy captain in the first movie). His final battle with Sadaam Hussein is classic; as they fight with lightsabers and put together a
final battle that manages to spoof both Star Wars and Terminator 2. If you’re looking for something a bit different to watch and don’t mind a movie that might cross some lines in terms of goofiness, this is a film I would recommend renting or buying; as long as you watch the first one first.
