If you like Jazz, then this is a must buy. Rather than getting Billy Holiday or Nina Simone go for something a bit older. Fats Waller was one

of the Jazz greats of the 20’s and 30’s and this double compilation CD shows exactly why. Don’t get me wrong, many of the songs do sound rather dated ...

      • but that’s what makes it so appealing. What is refreshing however is the ‘modern’ content to most of the songs, who ever thought so many songs could have been
sung about sex and parties in the 30’s. The best song on there is definitely ‘Hold tight-hold tight (want some seafood mama)’more recently sampled by Mr Scruff in his first album.
