Ok, for the record, it’s a bit too early in the year for Christmas movies. For God’s sake, it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet.

But, at least the Christmas movie I came across tonight, Deck the Halls, is funny.

I’m actually not a huge fan of Matthew Broderick or of Danny DeVito.

      But,

they are absolutely great in this film together.

DeVito plays a used car sales man who decides he’s tired of being invisible so he spends all his time and money lighting up his house so it can be seen from space.

Broderick plays the next door neighbor who has to deal with ...

      • the lights, the noise, the traffic from gawking neighbors and the smell of live animals from a live manger scene.

The little wars the two men go through at Christmas time is classic.

Whether it’s stealing electricity, cutting down the town Christmas tree or firing fireworks at each other, this is a

movie that is absolutely hillarious from start to finish.

The ending is a bit predictable but offers a good message about the Christmas spirit and the importance of giving.

This is a movie that is definitely among my favorites for this time of year; regardless of the fact they showed it a bit too early this year.
