  • Other than the name and the fact that most of the women in he story have red hair, there is nothing to suggest the Irish culture
  • With regards to the setting, while I have not doubt that there are people of Irish descent everywhere - given the suggestion that all the women in town were redheads and therefore of Irish descent, it would have been more believable if set in Boston

This is a poorly written 377 page book. The main character Christina Hardy is supposed to be a jingle writer of Irish descent who finds herself in contact with a dead spirit and the target of a serial killer who kills redheads.

The book is set in South Florida, in the Orlando area and centers around a bar called O’Malley’s. Other than the name and the fact that most of the women in he story have red hair, there is nothing to suggest the Irish culture. It is as though the ...

      • story is written by someone who wants to describe the characters as Irish but has no idea about the Irish culture. A rich cultural heritage was reduced to Christina having “the sight”, an ability to see ghosts that is strongly discouraged by her grandmother. With regards to the setting, while I have not doubt that there are people of Irish descent everywhere
        - given the suggestion that all the women in town were redheads and therefore of Irish descent, it would have been more believable if set in Boston. The actual seance was nothing short of ridiculous and the idea that adults would still be interested in playing with a Ouija board just demonstrates the immaturity of the adults.

I would not recommend this book.
