An assumed alien from a planet named K-PAX is committed to an asylum to be treated and cared for with all hopes of returning this human being to a normal state. The doctor in charge, after initial interviews comes to believe this person that he is actually not of this world

by his extensive knowledge of science and astrology, the likes he has never acknowledged before.

The character claims that he is only on earth for a short time and within that time but when he leaves he plans to take one of the earth people back to K-PAX with him.

      Seeing ...

      • that he has a short period of time to get adequate information about this person, the doctor launches an investigation into the man’s past by the information he acquired after he hypnotized the assumed alien.

It turns out that the host has suffered tragically from his past and when the doctor

returns he finds this person traumatized and catatonic and is left with many unanswered questions.

Added to that, one of the staff members has gone missing.

This movie ended just like it started, with a lot of unanswered questions.

That sucks, but the movie didn’t as it was quite a very interesting movie.
